John graduated from the University of Glasgow with an honours LLB in 2021, completing his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice the following year. After spending time as a paralegal in an international insurance litigation firm, he undertook his traineeship with an established Glasgow city centre firm. He trained in housing litigation, commercial and residential property work, and a range of private client matters including wills, powers of attorney, trusts and estate planning for those with business/international assets.

John joined the firm’s Private Client team in January 2025 with a view to developing expertise in this area. He is involved in work relating to wills, estates, powers of attorney and trusts.
John and his wife Aimee live in Rutherglen and enjoy training, competing and volunteering in powerlifting in their spare time.
